Reduce ministerial salaries by 50%:
According to the 2017 review of ministerial salaries, ministerial salaries are proposed to increase by 9% in 2018. Singapore’s ministerial pay is said to be the highest as compared to world leaders across the world. Instead of increasing the taxes of our citizens, I promise to ensure that the salary framework of the ministers remains appropriate and aligned with their performance. I promise to reduce ministerial salaries accordingly and reallocate funds into quality universal healthcare benefits for all.
