Tanveen Vohra believes that every Singaporean child, regardless of background, should have an equal chance to gain from quality education. To uphold the meaning behind the fifth star – equality on our nation’s flag, Tanveen will provide citizens with equal opportunity to further improve themselves and encourage social mobility.

 

As Prime Minister, Tanveen will:

• Pledge to rejuvenate systems of education and development to ensure that all Singaporeans have an equal chance to succeed— regardless of the income of their parents or any unfortunate circumstances under which they were born.

• Cut ministerial pay check and reallocate these funds to the education budget so that we can provide more tuition grants and other educational funding for students from lower income families.

• Workers and job seekers will be provided accessible training and development programs and resources that lead to good lifelong skills and credentials necessary for the workforce.
