PARLIAMENT HOUSE, SINGAPORE — Prime Ministerial candidate Tanveen Vohra addressed parliament today, with her manifesto being presented for not just parliament, but televised to the populace.

She began with listing her three policy directions, providing Healthcare for an ageing population, dealing with the increasing income inequality that has been noted in causing rifts in social cohesion, and finally her plans on the economy at large.

"I will not stand for a singapore that cannot provide the least its citizens can live on, when we stand atop Ivory towers and speak down to them. We must remember that it is we who serve the people, and at their behest we either stay in service to them, or we will be gone the next election."

In addressing the Healthcare plan, candidate Vohra said that it was connected to her other policy directions, and that the funding secured via the other policies will help achieve the future she has envisioned for Singapore.

“Our leaders are paid huge amounts, and it is often said that this is to deter corruption. But in service to the people, is high pay to ensure you perform not a form of bribery, a perverse incentive, in itself? I propose to reduce all ministerial salary, so we accept people based on their willingness to serve the people, not zeroes on their salary," emphasized candidate Vohra. This newfound funding will be used to secure our healthcare system for the future, instead of squandering it now.

When questioned about the income inequality outside the public sector, since she appears driven to reduce the financial supremacy of ministers, Candidate Vohra had this to say: “Where we do not have direct control, we will do the best we can for our future, the children and the young people, and invest in our education industry, to create a Singapore truly based upon the meritocracy we so often adore. A Singaporean must be able to succeed not by the silver of their spoon, but the hard work they commit.”
